Disaster Response Security Staffing
We are a subsidiary of ArmorGroup North America, a major international security company, operating in the Gulf Coast States. We were recently awarded contracts that require temporary employment of 1000+ officers in the event of hurricane activity in Louisiana and surrounding states. We require that officers have current legal authority to be armed. Officers should be available for a minimum of two weeks deployment to the Gulf Coast region.
General scope of work
To provide security services and details for disaster response in the Gulf Coast region including both armed and unarmed positions. Deployments will generally be to austere environments with limited utilities, food, water or lodging. Details may include protective escort details, protection of critical assets, evacuee shelter security, evacuation assistance and rehabitation, quick reaction and logistical support.
Deployment durations
Candidates must have the ability to deploy for a minimum of two weeks, and have the option to remain with the deployment team for any amount of time up to the conclusion of the emergency contract. Details may extend for up to 90 days depending on the severity of the disaster.
Candidate Requirements
We appreciate the unique talent and experience law enforcement personnel bring to a mission of this scope, therefore we prefer current or retired law enforcement experience. We will consider past law enforcement experience (non–retiree) provided said experience includes a minimum of 5 years service and occurred within the last 8 years.
Documentation (3x Copies of each):
Firearms certification within the last year
Current POST Training within the last year
Any training certificates (security training)
DD-214 (if available)
Social Security Card
Unexpired Driver’s License or passport
Immunization Records (if available)
Additional Requirements:
No criminal history containing felony convictions or convictions involving crimes of moral turpitude.
Licensed to carry a weapon.
Good reputation with solid, verifiable work history and personal references.
Ability to engage in moderate physical exertion.
Physical weight appropriate for height.
Ability to work well with others in close proximity environment.
Ability to use diplomacy when interfacing with others.
No addiction to drugs or alcohol.
